I firmly believe that–just as each person and their story are unique–so too should each individual’s experience with therapy. Counseling should be a collaborative process between counselor and client. Life is not linear, nor is the process of therapy. There is great validity in each small step we take, including in the steps backward we may take. Each new day provides the opportunity to achieve the impossible and to reshape our thinking as to who we can be and what we deserve.
