I have long had an interest in early attachment relational patterns. We are often unaware of the striking repetition of these patterns as we struggle through our lives. Sadness, loneliness, loss, and academic or professional failures are often a mystery to the individual. I offer a safe place to unravel the sources of these painful feelings and the factors that may adversely influence our choices. At the Ph.D level, I did extensive research in substance abuse disorders. By identifying aspects of what certain drugs subjectively created, I was able to help my patients become more aware of the emotional injuries that drove their addi Being informed about what is motivating one's behavior, even though it takes time, is a tool I will help someone develop. It is the key to making changes. I offer a non-judgmental, respectful and patient partner in the process of psychotherapy.
