Dr. Kathy Thompson is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who specializes in individual therapy with children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Thompson is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and enjoys working with first responders, children, adolescence, and LGBTQ individuals. Dr. Thompson completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) and offers EMDR sessions. Dr. Thompson received her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Florida Southern College in 2004, master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from Capella University in 2017, and her doctorate 2021. I spent 17 years working in child & family services in central Florida prior to working as a psychotherapist full-time. Since 2017, I have worked with several individuals with varying mental and behavioral health issues in community mental health and private practice settings.
