About
First and foremost, therapy is a relationship. Your sense of being seen, understood, and connected when we meet is crucial to our work together. I identify as a queer femme and work most often with other LGBTQ folks, women, and creatives. I believe that the problems in our lives do not define who we are and exist in the context of broader social, political, and cultural systems. Many of our problems, particularly grief, anxiety, and trauma, are non-linear in nature. There are times in our lives when they become louder, and times when they quiet. In my work, I blend strategies for change with practices that expand capacity for tolerance in painful moments. I draw from talk therapy as well as somatic or experiential techniques (mindfulness meditation, nervous system regulation, and embodied creative expression). I have particular experience working with complex trauma, relationships, and loneliness.
