There is a lot of power in being with someone as they wade through an experience. I believe in connection as a guide - an anchor that can give someone a sense of togetherness even when faced with regular messages of being alone. When we are with someone who sees us, we can open a little more. As a student close to completing an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I am currently an intern at Vermont Wellness Collaborative. I have a background in working with college-age and middle school students, both locally and abroad, and my passion is in supporting queer and trans youth.
