My name is Iara Bonatto, and I welcome in my practice people from all genders, nationalities, faith and skin colors. I speak English, Portuguese, and Spanish. I am trained in the treatment of Trauma, behavior change, goal achievement and motivation, anxiety disorders, stress management, life transitions, and coaching. I work with teens and adults, LGBTQ+ individuals, Military members, and neurodivergent clients. And if you feel overwhelmed with life changes and would like to embark on a self-discovery journey to understand your emotions and challenges, you have found a safe space that I provide in my sessions. My therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) but I also bring elements of other modalities such as, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, Behavior Modification, Motivational Interviewing, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I use EMDR for trauma treatment.
