The experiences of individuals rooted in immigrant families in the United States are special and unique. I have extensive experience with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-generation Korean and Asian clients over the past 15 years while working in university counseling centers in the U.S. As a 1st generation immigrant and a working mom, I have found that my personal empathy has grown over time.
