About
We're built for clarity and attachment in a world of complexity and impermanence. We want certainty and consistency in a world that, quite often, guarantees neither. To be human is to, in moments, feel hurt or lost, carrying our aching pasts into unknown and scary futures, susceptible to sadness, shame, confusion, anxiety, disconnection, fear, grief, and stuckness. It is an honor to walk with clients—playfully and imaginatively—as they shed worn-out patterns, awaken to truer selves in unexpected ways, discover fresh and vibrant forms of emotional expression, and step into a new sense of agency and vitality. I use the relationship between therapist and client to draw attention to how past patterns of relating can show up in the present moment. I bring careful attention to verbal and nonverbal emotional cues, a seasoned intuition, an appreciation for experimentation, a love of language and metaphor, humor, gentle challenge, and authenticity to every session.
