Contrary to popular belief, therapy is not a “safe space.” Of course, my goal is to help you feel safe, seen and heard as you embark on your healing process, but it may very likely not feel natural to relax into a space as you share the deepest and most hidden parts of yourself. Every person has a unique footprint because of the events that have occurred in their life. In our work together, my goal is to foster a healing space to learn how those events have shaped you, and to find the path on which to walk that is best for you. True healing in therapy comes from a place of being fully transparent with who we are, and without shame.
