Anyone can slay a dragon, he told me, but try waking up every morning and loving the world all over again. That's what takes a real hero. The writer and artist Brian Andreas' message epitomizes heroism. Everyone struggles and encounters obstacles. During times of hardship, heartache, or conflict all of us need validation and empathy. Being seen, known, and understood are universal human needs. Therapy can help us find tools and inner resources to navigate difficulties with support and strength. I work with heroes from ages 3 to 93. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist, I employ a variety of interventions and techniques to support children, teens, adults, & families as we compassionately attend to their challenging or traumatic experiences.
