Welcome to Hye Tide Counseling! I’m Laura Carlson, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker providing therapy for children, youth, and families. I am passionate about helping individuals discover their “Hye” (a natural “high” derived from feeding the mind, body, and soul with love and nourishment). I have expertise in the assessment of development, learning, and social emotional challenges in children and adolescents. Over the past 15 years, I have worked as a school-based clinician, as well as an individual and family therapist within a pediatric practice in the North Shore. I specialize in helping children, adolescents, and families navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and learning differences. I meld aspects of various modalities including psychodynamic psychotherapy, CBT, DBT, IFS, and others.
