Just by reading this, you are showing your strength and courage to take the first step to speak with a therapist. For many people, it is a scary step to make and keep a counseling appointment. People often worry and wonder things like, what will counseling be like, what will the therapist ask me, and will therapy really help me? When I meet you, I will commend you for your courage to come to counseling and we will discuss what brings you to counseling. Then we will make what I call a counseling GPS. This is a plan of how to get from where you are to where you want to be (through counseling).
