My ideal client is one who is ready to work. Healing does take a lot of work and it is so rewarding, too. I see clients who are depressed, anxious, and suffering from trauma and they don't even know some of their symptoms are a result of their trauma. My clients need a lot of support as they are tired of struggling, of striving to get better. They want safety because they've been hurt, they want confidentiality because they've been betrayed. Often their goals are to function "like normal people," and part of my job is to help clients see how normal many of their symptoms are. People with depression and anxiety want relief.
