About

I am honored as a counselor to be a part of the healing journey for others. I am client- centered in my approach, believing that everyone has strengths we can continue to build on. My role is to help identify areas of stuck patterns and distress and explore alternative coping skills to help create wholeness and a meaningful life. I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma (sexual, physical, verbal, emotional abuse). Trauma can impact all areas of life. Being able to process these experiences in a safe place can help free up more space for living more fully in the present. I use many interventions and skill based methods and believe interventions tailored to the individual are best practice. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence based practice using "dual attention awareness" for treating trauma, anxiety, grief and loss as well as a range of other issues.
