Therapy is only ever effective if you feel like you are in a safe space where you can be yourself. I am a relational and conversational therapist who draws on modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). As someone who has themselves experienced trauma and challenging life transitions, I know what a difference acceptance and validation can make. I am a therapist who will meet you where you are at with warm, accepting, human responses to your struggles but I will also challenge you. My primary specialty is working with those who find themselves in times of transition; college, new parenthood, divorce, navigating the dating world or exploring intimacy and building self esteem. I also have experience working with individuals with substance use disorder, low self-esteem, anxiety, and depression.
