I specialize in treating individuals who suffer from chronic, persistent depression or difficulty regulating emotions, and find themselves using substance abuse or other unhealthy behaviors to manage their symptoms. I join with my clients to uncover what is maintaining those unhealthy patterns and learn new skills to cope. I also work with clients to identify how developmental trauma from childhood influences their coping style, and help them develop self-compassion and acceptance as a part of healing.
