I've worked in the mental health field since 1980. I look at therapy as a collaborative enterprise between client and therapist, with the aim of improving quality of life. I value a gentle, accepting way of looking at life problems, with an emphasis on understanding, rather than judging or condemning, oneself and others. I value curiosity as a valuable asset in the therapeutic process and I enjoy working with clients who can be curious about themselves and their lives. I work with the client to identify new skills, behaviors, or attitudes that can facilitate desired changes.
