Effective therapy begins with the client-therapist relationship. In my practice I create a safe space for discussion surrounding life’s inevitable challenges. The foundation of my sessions is empathy, and from an empathic perspective I seek to guide clients toward finding their own inner strength in the face of difficulty, complex emotions, loss, and traumatic situations. I am a highly sensitive therapist and I am skilled in treating highly sensitive people. Using a strengths-based approach, I can help foster understanding and resilience to move through negative experiences and self-defeating patterns into a place of empowerment. I have worked with a host of different populations in my 23 plus years of therapeutic experience. Among my specialties is child and adolescent mental health. using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I create customized interventions that are tailored for each individual to help them develop new ways of thinking about themselves and their capabilities.
