I have such unbridled passion for my work I am determined to be a rock star in my field. My style of counseling is eclectic and I tailor my therapeutic practices to the individual. As my niche is neurodiversity, I hold the view that there needs to be an emphasis on recognizing and appreciating the neurodivergent person’s enhanced perceptual functioning. In other words, focus on the individual's strengths not deficits. It changes one's perception from calling it a hyperfocus, which is a stigmatized term, to understanding it as a special area of interest they excel at.
