Welcome from Patrick McMahon, LPC and Cairn Counseling Services. Now more than ever people are reexamining the role of mental and emotional health in their lives and in their relationships and seeking greater understanding as to how these things can shape who they are and the world around them. I believe that every person already possesses strengths and skills that can help them grow to become a better version of themselves. Therapy can be a way to discover and build upon those skills and strengths to become the very best version of yourself. Therapy can provide answers to many of life’s important questions, and many people use therapy to build new coping skills to deal with stress or anxiety, to rediscover passion for meaningful and fulfilling things in life, or understand how experiences can shape who they are. These are only a few of the different forms of work we can do together in therapy.
