Hi, my name is Sam! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who works with children, teens, and young adults. I am passionate about working with families to support getting back to a healthier day-to-day living rhythm. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where everyone can explore their experiences, gain new tools for themselves, repair relationships, and move towards sustained change. I specialize in working with at-risk youth (child welfare, juvenile delinquency, mental health hospitalizations/suicidality), trauma-related disorders, and anxiety-related disorders. A typical session may looks like “being a detective” to learn why we do the behaviors we do, using art to express those really difficult feelings, simply talking while engaging in play or a variety of other creative options. I believe that feeling safe and relaxed while doing therapy is vital to making progress and having fun is a bonus!
