The only thing I can absolutely guarantee is honesty, as that is the only thing I expect from my clients. I don't have a specific "specialty" I can hang my hat on; but what I do have is the ability to relate to pretty much everyone I come across. I have 3 degrees in Psychology (a Bachelor of Science and 2 Masters of Arts), so I do have more formal education than most Marriage & Family Therapists. More importantly, I have a great deal of informal education, as I have had many failures and made many mistakes in my life, so I know what it feels like and takes to fall on your face and get back up. The way I see it, we NEED to spit out all the stuff inside our heads and have someone listen . . . it's quite literally in our DNA, because we are social creatures. Despite this natural need, it's not easy to do because we don't want to be thought of as weak, weird, crazy, etc.. Luckily, therapy doesn't judge - it listens, understands, and helps.
