Successful therapy begins with a positive relationship with a trusted therapist. Building trust between client and therapist is an integral foundation for any positive change to occur. My utilization of insight-oriented therapy is set against a backdrop of mindfulness work and an understanding of the client's family history. My goal as a therapist is to untangle the narratives that my clients have created for their lives that have inhibited their ability to have healthy relationships, both with themselves and with others. Maximizing a client's self awareness to help change the ways in which they relate to the world can yield a sense of empowerment. I seek to provide a caring, compassionate and non-judgemental therapeutic environment which can serve as fertile ground for these changes to occur.
