C'mon guys, let's be real, can we? I usually joke with the men that come to see me that they are either court-ordered or wife-ordered for therapy. I recognize that humor can be a powerful icebreaker easing into the process of addressing issues. Whether it be improved communication skills, increased self-awareness, developing empathy for self and others, mood management, or just plain having an empathic ear to validate your struggles. I can offer you assistance in achieving those goals and more if you would like. My approach to change is identifying the connection between the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in any given situation and recognizing that usually one of the three is the culprit hindering change. Effecting change usually means altering, removing or activating one of the three to get the desired result.
